Reason Number 2 — Improve Approachability
The perceived lack of approachability of a company is an especially difficult problem for larger organizations. If Acme Inc. is trying to recruit new employees or make it easier for customers and prospects to understand what it is they stand for, using the same, tired outreach techniques as everybody else in their market makes them look like everybody else…referred to as being “functionally equivalent” in marketing terms.
A well planned, produced, published and promoted podcast solves the approachability problem by demonstrating to an audience that behind the facade of a big organization are real people, doing real work, trying to solve real problems. It’s easier to bond with a voice then a website marketing page. . .and companies delivering effective podcasts know that.
